Fluorecein tet for the detection of triae in the corneal flap after laer in itu keratomileui

PURPOE: To report a technique for detecting triae in the corneal flap after laer in itu keratomileui. METHOD: Fluorecein dye wa intilled in the eye, and the patient wa aked to blink. The tear film wa examined at the lit lamp with the cobalt filter 1 or 2 econd after blinking. REULT: The uneven pattern of pooling in the tear film wa a enitive indicator of the preence of triae in the flap. CONCLUION: Thi technique may be ueful in detecting minimal triae in the corneal flap in patient with unexplained uboptimal viual acuity after laer in itu keratomileui.
