pontaneou regreion of orbital Langerhan cell granulomatoi in a three-year-old girl

PURPOE: To report a cae of pontaneou regreion of orbital Langerhan cell granulomatoi. METHOD: Cae report. A 3-year-old girl wa initially examined with a 5-week hitory of lowly progreive blepharoptoi and periorbital welling of the left eye. REULT: Computed tomographic can howed a ma in the left orbit eroding into the left frontal bone; fine-needle apiration confirmed diagnoi of Langerhan cell granulomatoi. After initial biopy, the patient wa treated by cloe obervation alone. ix month after initial examination, the monototic leion had completely reolved. CONCLUION: In ome cae of monototic Langerhan cell granulomatoi, initial biopy followed by obervation alone may allow for the pontaneou regreion of the leion. Thi conervative approach to treatment i an important therapeutic option that may pare the patient the advere effect of urgical reection, radiation, or chemotherapy
