Effective macular tranlocation without cleral imbrication

PURPOE: To decribe a cae of effective macular tranlocation accomplihed without cleral imbrication or extenive retinotomy. METHOD: A cae report of a 59-year-old woman with ubfoveal choroidal neovacularization in her left eye who underwent vitrectomy with macular detachment and fluid–air exchange. REULT: The macula wa tranlocated approximately 500 μm inferiorly, allowing for photocoagulation of extrafoveal neovacularization. CONCLUION: Limited macular tranlocation may be attained without cleral imbrication or ignificant retinotomy
