Blepharoptoi correction with frontali upenion uing a upramid ling: duration of effect

PURPOE: To invetigate the duration of effect after frontali upenion with a upramid (. Jackon, Inc, Alexandria, Virginia) ling. METHOD: We reviewed 81 conecutive patient (40 male, 41 female), aged 6 month to 50 year (mean, 12 year) with upper eyelid blepharoptoi who underwent frontali upenion with upramid ling urgery at a major eye center. REULT: Fifty patient had unilateral and 31 patient had bilateral blepharoptoi repair. Forty-three (53%) of the 81 patient had potoperative follow-up of 3 to 12 year; all thee patient had a recurrence of blepharoptoi to the preoperative level 1 to 18 month potoperatively. CONCLUION: Blepharoptoi correction with frontali upenion with upramid ling ha a temporary effect, and ue of thi procedure for blepharoptoi correction hould be dicouraged.
