Abstract :
PURPOE: To report feature of choroidal rupture and choroidal vacular injury after contuion ocular injury on indocyanine green angiography. METHOD: In a propective tudy, nine patient (nine eye) with choroidal rupture after ocular contuion underwent initial fluorecein angiography and indocyanine green angiography within 19 day after trauma. Eye that had a ditinct abnormality of the retinal pigment epithelium were excluded from thi tudy. ubtraction indocyanine green angiography wa alo performed. Follow-up fluorecein angiographic and indocyanine green angiographic finding were alo tudied. REULT: Initial ophthalmocopic examination revealed ubretinal hemorrhage in all nine eye. In five of the nine eye, choroidal rupture wa not een on initial ophthalmocopic or fluorecein angiographic examination becaue it wa hidden beneath the ubretinal hemorrhage, but it wa detected on ubequent examination. In the remaining four eye, choroidal rupture wa oberved by ophthalmocopy at the time of initial examination, and thee eye exhibited hyperfluorecent treak on fluorecein angiography in the region of the ubretinal hemorrhage. On initial indocyanine green angiography of all nine eye, oberved hypofluorecent treak became more obviou with time. For each eye, there were more hypofluorecent treak on indocyanine green angiography than hyperfluorecent treak on fluorecein angiography. In one eye, the location of indocyanine green leakage nearly coincided with the location of a hyperfluorecent treak on fluorecein angiography. In thi cae, crecentic treak of hypofluorecence were een on the temporal ide of the ubretinal hemorrhage on indocyanine green angiography, although choroidal rupture wa not oberved in that region by ophthalmocopy or fluorecein angiography. In two of the nine eye, indocyanine green angiography and the ubtraction technique demontrated diturbance of flow into choroidal veel, epecially at the choroidal rupture ite. CONCLUION: After ocular contuion injury, variou feature of choroidal rupture and choroidal vacular injury were oberved on indocyanine green angiography. Thi technique may contribute to the diagnoi of choroidal rupture and to the undertanding of the clinical coure after injury
