Abstract :
PURPOE:
To tudy a conjunctival inciion approach for primary conjunctivodacryocytorhinotomy with Jone tube inertion.
METHOD:
Thi technique wa applied throughout an 8-year period on 13 adult patient; each preented with complete lacrimal obtruction at the common canaliculu and exceive tearing.
REULT:
urgical outcome wa ucceful, with no external facial carring. Follow-up ranged from 9 month to 7 year (median, 4.5 year). Complication included a tube exchange in one patient and occaional tearing in another.
CONCLUION:
A conjunctival inciion approach to conjunctivodacryocytorhinotomy (CDCR) with Jone tube inertion i an alternative technique for adult patient, epecially thoe known (or potential) keloid-former cae, or thoe preferring not to undergo laer treatment and wanting to avoid an external facial car.
