To report a cae of partial tranvere venou inu obtruction cauing a yndrome reembling peudotumor cerebri. METHOD: Cae report. A 61-year-old man developed decreaed viion, bilateral papilledema, and a highly increaed cerebropinal fluid opening preure. Brain magnetic reonance imaging (MRI) dicloed a mall, extra-axial ma near the torcula, which wa dimied a an incidental meningioma becaue cerebral angiography howed inu patency. REULT: The patient’ viion worened. Biopy of the enlarging ma dicloed metatatic protate cancer. After radiation therapy, the ma hrank, magnetic reonance angiography dicloed reopening of the tranvere inue, and papilledema reolved, but viual field remained everely compromied. CONCLUION: Partial blockage of the dural venou inu by a mall ma near the torcula can caue a ufficient increae in intracranial preure to produce viion-threatening papilledema.
