Retinal vaculiti occurring with common variable immunodeficiency yndrome

PURPOE: To report evere retinal vaculiti cauing decreaed viion in three patient with the common variable immunodeficiency yndrome. METHOD: Cae report. Three patient with common variable immunodeficiency yndrome developed decreaed viion econdary to retinal vaculiti. Fluorecein angiography wa performed in all three patient. Peribulbar injection were given in one patient, and two patient were treated with oral teroid and cycloporin. REULT: All three patient were young and had claic common variable immunodeficiency yndrome. Bilateral retinal vaculiti and diffue retinal edema were preent in all three patient, and two patient had retinal neovacularization in the abence of ichemia. No evidence of intraocular infection wa preent, and none wa detected ytematically. Viual acuity decreaed in five of the ix eye and wa reponive to treatment in only one patient (both eye). CONCLUION: Retinal vaculiti may be another autoimmune manifetation of common variable immunodeficiency yndrome.
