Abstract :
PURPOE:
To report the ue of intracameral tiue plaminogen activator to diolve fibrinou membrane and break poterior ynechiae in patient with acute HLA-B27–poitive iridocycliti with impending pupillary block.
METHOD:
Two patient with evere acute fibrinou iridocycliti and ecluio pupillae were identified. Becaue of the concern of impending pupillary block, intracameral tiue plaminogen activator (12.5 μg in 0.1 ml, Activae; Genentech, Inc, outh an Francico, California) wa injected with a 25-gauge needle through the corneal limbu.
REULT:
Both patient howed complete diolution of fibrin with diruption of poterior ynechiae. There were no advere event after injection. Neither patient required further invaive intervention, and both fully recovered with medical management.
CONCLUION:
Intracameral tiue plaminogen activator i a afe and effective agent for patient with evere acute iridocycliti and pupillary ecluion. Patient with clinical ign uggetive of impending pupillary block glaucoma may be conidered for tiue plaminogen activator injection to avoid the poible need for emergency urgical iridectomy and ynechiolyi.
