A new urgical technique for management of conjunctivochalai

PURPOE: To preent a new urgical technique for evere, ymptomatic conjunctivochalai and our hypothei of the pathogenei of thi condition. METHOD: ix eye of three patient with conjunctivochalai (average age ±D, 70.0 ± 9.6 year; range, 56–78 year) were treated with a conjunctival fixation to clera with three 6-0 Vicryl (Johnon & Johnon, New Brunwick, New Jerey) titche. REULT: With a mean follow-up period of 209.5 day (range, 181–219 day), we achieved ucceful treatment in all eye, with no recurrence of conjunctival fold. CONCLUION: We uccefully treated conjunctivochalai with conjunctival fixation to clera, which trongly ugget that conjuctival fold are caued by the folding and the elevating of looely adherent bulbar conjunctiva of the lower eyelid.
