Abstract
PURPOE:
To report the effect of intravitreal injection of tiue plaminogen activator and ga for the treatment of diabetic premacular hemorrhage.
METHOD:
Five eye of five conecutive patient with freh diabetic premacular hemorrhage and previou panretinal photocoagulation were treated with intravitreal injection of 50 μg of tiue plaminogen activator, and 0.3 ml of ulfur hexafluoride. After intravitreal injection, patient maintained a prone poition for 3 day and were followed for an average of 7 month (range, 6 to 8 month).
REULT:
All eye had clearing of the premacular hemorrhage with improved viual acuity. Three eye with no viible fibrovacular proliferation required 3 week to reorb the hemorrhage, and two eye with active fibrovacular proliferation needed 2 month to reorb the intravitreal hemorrhage.
CONCLUION:
Intravitreal injection of tiue plaminogen activator and ga may be an effective way to treat freh diabetic premacular hemorrhage.
