Abstract
PURPOE: To report a cae of neurofibromatoi type 2 with peudopapilledema econdary to a prepapillary gliotic membrane.
METHOD: Cae report. Reult of an ocular examination and fluorecein angiography of a patient are decribed.
REULT: Fundu examination of a 14-year-old male with neurofibromatoi type 2 revealed an irregular elevation of the optic nerve and a perifoveal epiretinal membrane in the right eye. Fluorecein angiography demontrated no autofluorecence nor leakage in the area of the optic nerve.
CONCLUION: The patient ha peudopapilledema econdary to an epiretinal membrane overlying the optic dik of the right eye. The poibility of peudopapilledema hould be conidered when evaluating patient with neurofibromatoi type 2 and abnormal optic nerve.
