Herpe implex viru DNA identification from aqueou fluid in Fuch heterochromic iridocycliti

PURPOE: To report the preence of herpe implex viru DNA in the aqueou humor of an eye with Fuch heterochromic iridocycliti. METHOD: In an eye with a clinical diagnoi of Fuch heterochromic iridocycliti, ample of aqueou humor and anterior capule of the len were obtained during cataract urgery. Polymerae chain reaction wa performed on the ample to detect the preence of viral DNA including herpe implex viru, varicella-zoter viru, and cytomegaloviru. erologic analyi wa alo performed for antiviral immunoglobulin. REULT: Herpe implex viru DNA wa identified in the aqueou humor but not in the anterior capule. erum immunoglobulin G wa poitive for herpe implex viru, varicella-zoter viru, and cytomegaloviru. CONCLUION: The preence of herpe implex viru DNA in the aqueou humor of an eye with Fuch heterochromic iridocycliti ugget that herpe implex viru infection may play a role in the pathogenei of Fuch heterochromic iridocycliti
