Abstract
PURPOE: To report a cae of branch retinal artery occluion after thyroid artery interventional embolization.
METHOD: A 33-year-old man with hyperthyroidim complained of viual lo and cotoma in the left eye after thyroid artery interventional embolization. He underwent a full ophthalmologic examination, including fluorecein angiography.
REULT: Viual acuity wa 20/25, with inferior and uperior cotoma preent in the left eye. Fluorecein angiography of the left eye revealed delayed filling of a uperotemporal branch retinal artery and nonfilling of an inferotemporal branch retinal artery.
CONCLUION: A mall, but definite rik of retinal artery occluion after thyroid artery interventional embolization hould be conidered.
