Central retinal artery occluion in a patient homozygou for factor V Leiden

PURPOE: To report an aociation between central retinal artery occluion and homozygoity for factor V Leiden. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 48-year-old woman with udden lo of viual acuity in her right eye caued by a central retinal artery occluion howed abnormal reitance to activated protein C and wa homozygou for the factor V Leiden gene. CONCLUION: Activated protein C reitance may be a rik factor for central retinal artery occluion in young adult
