Blepharoptoi urgery complicated by late uture migration

%PURPOE: To report late uture migration a a complication of blepharoptoi urgery. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: After upper eyelid blepharoptoi repair, two eye of two patient developed unuual foreign body reaction and ulceration in the conjunctiva caued by migration of nonaborbable uture from the levator aponeuroi to the upper conjunctival fornix. The foreign body caued eyelid edema, papillary change in the upper taral conjunctiva, recurrent blepharoptoi, and a foreign body enation that tarted more than 3 month after the urgery and perited until the uture wa removed. The uture, hidden in edematou conjunctiva of the uperior fornix, eluded detection. CONCLUION: Foreign body reaction econdary to uture migration i an uncommon complication of blepharoptoi repair.
