Acquired and progreive retinal nerve fiber layer myelination in an adolecent

PURPOE: To report the onet and progreion of retinal nerve fiber layer myelination in an adolecent patient. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 7-year-old male wa found to have myelination of the retinal nerve fiber layer in the left eye. When he wa reexamined at age 14 year, he wa found to have new myelination in the right eye, progreion of the myelination in the left eye, and bilateral optic nerve druen. CONCLUION: Retinal nerve fiber layer myelination can occur pontaneouly in adolecence, progre in adolecence, and be aociated with optic nerve druen.
