Abstract :
PURPOE: To decribe a congenital retinal venou macroveel that communicate with a cilioretinal artery and a retinal artery, and to report how thi vacular anomaly decompenated a a reult of repetitive rollercoater ride.
METHOD: Cae report with erial fundu photography and fluorecein angiography.
REULT: After a hort period of intenive rollercoater ride, a 19-year-old woman complained of reduced viion in one eye. Funducopy and fluorecein angiography revealed a venou congenital retinal macroveel with arteriovenou communication, and retinal exudation wa viible at the termination of the anomalou veel. Exudation reolved, and acuity recovered after a period of avoidance of rollercoater ride.
CONCLUION: Thi cae repreent the firt report of a retinal artery and a cilioretinal artery communicating with a congenital retinal macroveel, and it ugget that uch patient are at increaed rik of retinal vacular decompenation if involved in activitie aociated with change in g-force, uch a bungee jumping or rollercoater ride.
