Abstract :
PURPOE: To decribe a cae of normal-tenion glaucoma with bilateral complete occluion of the internal carotid artery. METHOD: A 58-year-old man who had a 2-year hitory of normal-tenion glaucoma in the left eye preented with ocular ichemic yndrome. To evaluate the orbital circulation, cerebral angiography and color Doppler imaging were performed. REULT: Cerebral angiography howed bilateral complete occluion of the internal carotid artery and collateral blood upply through the right and left ophthalmic arterie, in which the flow wa revered. Moreover, color Doppler imaging revealed lower blood flow velocitie in the left central retinal and hort poterior ciliary arterie, uggeting a teal phenomenon. CONCLUION: Normal-tenion glaucoma in the preent cae may be caued by chronic reduction of retrobulbar blood flow reulting from a teal phenomenon
