Tomographic feature of a lamellar macular hole formation and a lamellar hole that progreed to a full-thickne macular hole

PURPOE: To report optical coherence tomography of a lamellar macular hole and a lamellar macular hole that progreed to a full-thickne macular hole. METHOD: Cae Report. REULT: Cae 1. In the right eye of a 66-year old man, a lenticular-haped plit wa preent in the inner neuroenory retina correponding to the fovea. Three month later, an operculum formed anterior to the fovea where the retina wa attenuated. Cae 2. In the left eye of a 58-year old woman, a foveal cyt wa een in the inner neuroenory retina and the inner wall of the cyt wa elevated, where a lightly detached poterior vitreou cortex wa attached. One month later, the inner wall wa operculated, leaving a thin foveal bottom. Four month later, the hole progreed to a full-thickne macular hole. CONCLUION: Lamellar macular hole appear to form when the inner wall of a plit or cyt in the neuroenory retina at the fovea i avuled by vitreou traction
