Epithelial infectiou crytalline keratopathy

PURPOE: To report 2 cae of epithelial infectiou crytalline keratopathy. METHOD: Two patient (2 eye) with ignificant meibomiti preented with minimal inflammation and plaque-like leion on the corneal urface made of fine crytalline tructure. Corneal craping of thee leion were performed for microbiological evaluation. The patient were treated with topical ciprofloxacin and artificial tear. REULT: mear examination of the corneal craping revealed numerou bacteria and keratinized epithelial cell with no inflammatory cell. Culture howed a ignificant growth of taphylococcu epidermidi and Corynebacterium pecie in the firt cae and Peudomona aeroginoa in the econd cae. The repone to treatment wa poor, with recurrence of the crytalline leion. CONCLUION: Infectiou crytalline keratopathy leion may involve the epithelium and occur on the corneal urface
