Limited macular tranlocation for the management of ubfoveal retinal pigment epithelial lo after ubmacular urgery

PURPOE: To report a cae of ubfoveal retinal pigment epithelial (retinal pigment epithelium) lo after ubmacular urgery managed uccefully by limited macular tranlocation. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 28-year-old woman preented with a viual acuity of 20/100 caued by ubfoveal choroidal neova-cularization econdary to ocular hitoplamoi yndrome. ubmacular reection of the choroidal neovacularization wa complicated by inadvertent retinal pigment epithelium lo from beneath the foveal center. he underwent limited macular tranlocation 5 day after the initial urgery and had ucceful diplacement of the fovea to an area inferior to the retinal pigment epithelium defect. Her viual acuity wa 20/60 4 month potoperatively. CONCLUION: Thi report demontrate the feaibility of uing limited macular tranlocation for the management of eye with central retinal pigment epithelium defect after ubmacular urgery and extend the clinical indication for limited macular tranlocation.
