Primary cutaneou adenoid cytic carcinoma of the eyelid

PURPOE: To report a cae of primary cutaneou adenoid cytic carcinoma involving the eyelid. METHOD: We examined a 70-year-old woman with an 18-month hitory of a gradually enlarging, blue-colored ma in the medial third of the right upper eyelid. Exciional biopy and additional reection of the medially infiltrated margin reulted in tumor-free edge. uperior cervical and orbital evaluation were performed. REULT: Hitopathologic evaluation revealed a primary cutaneou adenoid cytic carcinoma. No gland pathology wa documented. No tumor recurrence ha been noted. CONCLUION: Primary cutaneou adenoid cytic carcinoma, an uncommon tumor of the kin, hould be added to the differential diagnoi of eyelid tumor.
