Abstract :
PURPOE: To decribe the clinical and hitopathologic finding in a patient with Parinaud’ oculoglandular yndrome attributable to Franciella tulareni obtained from an encounter with a wild baby rabbit.
METHOD: In an 18-year-old man, the clinical coure, laboratory finding, and hitopathologic finding are decribed.
REULT: Parinaud’ oculoglandular yndrome hould be conidered in the differential diagnoi of a patient preenting with unilateral granulomatou conjunctiviti, painful preauricular, and ubmandibular lymphadenopathy combined with ytemic ymptom of general malaie and fever.
CONCLUION: Tularemia i one etiology of Parinaud’ oculoglandular yndrome. It i caued by Franciella tulareni and i uually tranmitted to human via infected animal blood or through an inect bite, mot often a tick. For treatment, intramucular treptomycin i the drug of choice.
