Ultraound biomicrocopic diagnoi of cyclitic membrane

PURPOE: To evaluate the utility of ultraound biomicrocopy in imaging cyclitic membrane. METHOD: Patient with hypotony and upected or known cyclitic membrane underwent ultraound biomicrocopic examination. Hitopathology of cyclitic membrane wa correlated with ultraound biomicrocopy in three cae. REULT: ix eye of ix patient were enrolled. Mean patient age wa 62.2 ± 18.4 (D) year. The mean intraocular preure in the affected eye wa 4.3 ± 3.4 mmHg. Three eye were peudophakic and three eye were aphakic. All eye had undergone two or more previou intraocular urgerie. Ultraound biomicrocopy imaged the cyclitic membrane in all ix eye. Hitopathology revealed fibroproliferative cyclitic membrane with aociated inflammatory cell. CONCLUION: Ultraound biomicrocopy i ueful in detecting the preence of thoe cyclitic membrane that may not be identified on clinical examination.
