Abstract :
PURPOE: To report fungal infection complicating Acanthamoeba keratiti.
METHOD: Cae report. A 45-year-old woman with contact len–related bilateral Acanthamoeba keratiti developed corneal ulcer, corneal perforation, and mature cataract in the left eye, which wa managed by penetrating keratoplaty, lenectomy, and vitrectomy.
REULT: Hitopathologic examination of the keratoplaty pecimen from the left eye revealed extenive lamellar tromal necroi with the coexitence of both empty cyt and branching hyphae. Culture from the keratoplaty pecimen grew cedoporium apiopermum.
CONCLUION: Keratomycoi caued by . apiopermum may complicate protracted Acanthamoeba keratiti.
