Retinal pigment epithelial tear after photodynamic therapy for choroidal neovacularization

PURPOE: To report a cae of retinal pigment epithelial tear after photodynamic therapy for choroidal neovacularization. METHOD: Cae report. A 74-year-old woman with exudative age-related macular degeneration and claic ubfoveal choroidal neovacularization RE underwent photodynamic therapy with verteporfin. REULT: Ophthalmocopy and fluorecein angiography RE dicloed a retinal pigment epithelial tear in the area of photodynamic therapy. CONCLUION: Thi cae preent the firt report of a retinal pigment epithelial tear after photodynamic therapy with verteporfin for ubfoveal choroidal neovacularization in age-related macular degeneration.
