Globe perforation aociated with ubtenon’ anetheia

PURPOE: To report a cae of globe perforation while initiating poterior ubtenon’ anetheia. METHOD: Cae report. A 40-year-old man with a hitory of retinal detachment in both eye preented for repair of a econd retinal detachment in the LE. REULT: Upon diecting a pace beneath the Tenon capule with cior, the globe wa perforated. CONCLUION: In patient with prior ophthalmologic urgery, thinned clera, or exce car tiue, increaed caution hould be employed during initiation of ub-Tenon anetheia or an alternative method hould be ued.
