Wahout period for brimonidine 0.2% and latanoprot 0.005%

PURPOE: To evaluate the intraocular preure wahout time after dicontinuing brimonidine 0.2% twice daily and latanoprot 0.005% once every evening. METHOD: We dicontinued brimonidine or latanoprot in a maked fahion from primary open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertenive patient. The intraocular preure wa meaured twice weekly until patient returned to untreated baeline. REULT: In 32 patient, the mean longet eye wahout time for brimonidine (n = 15) wa 3.3 ± 3.0 week and for latanoprot (n = 17) wa 4.4 ± 3.2 week (P = .24). In all but one patient, brimonidine returned to baeline by 5 week and latanoprot returned by 8 week. CONCLUION: After dicontinuing latanoprot or brimonidine, a wide variation exit in wahout time among individual, with latanoprot demontrating a trend to a longer wahout period.
