  • Abstract
    PURPOE: To decribe the occurrence of intermittent viual lo in a patient with orbital hemangioma due to the blue rubber bleb nevu yndrome. METHOD: Cae report. REULT: A 70-year-old woman complained of intermittent blurred viion combined with preure behind her left eye occurring after head bending or Valalva maneuver. Examination revealed 2 mm of enophthalmo on the left. After downward bending of the head the eye became exophthalmic by 12 mm and viual acuity decreaed to finger counting. Neuro-ophthalmologic examination wa otherwie normal. Magnetic reonance imaging revealed an intraconal hemangioma. Bluih, oft, rubber-like, compreible and lowly refilling hemangioma on the inferior lip, ublingually, on the hand, and vagina led to the diagnoi of BRBN. CONCLUION: Intermittent viual lo may be the preenting ymptom of an orbital hemangioma in BRBN. Recognition of thi rare condition i important becaue of it potentially life-threatening complication
