Abstract
PURPOE: To report two patient (two eye) with previou photorefractive keratectomy, who ubequently underwent cataract extraction year later.
DEIGN: Cae report.
METHOD: Corneal topography wa ued to determine corneal power ued in intraocular len power calculation.
REULT: In two eye of two patient, intraocular len calculation after photorefractive keratectomy were inadequate, which reulted in a hyperopic potoperative refractive error requiring implantation of a piggyback intraocular len.
CONCLUION: Corneal topography to determine corneal power in patient with previou photorefractive keratectomy may reult in unpredictable intraocular len power calculation. The clinical hitory method i the tandard to determine corneal power and hould be conidered in intraocular len calculation before cataract urgery. We recommend upplying refractive patient with preoperative data for ue in future formula for intraocular len election
