Laer in itu keratomileui-induced neurotrophic epitheliopathy

PURPOE: To report two cae of laer in itu keratomileui-induced neurotrophic epitheliopathy with punctate epitheliopathy and roe bengal taining of the corneal flap. METHOD: Interventional cae report. REULT: A 42-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man with no preoperative ymptom or ign of dry eye developed dry eye ymptom and bilateral punctate epithelial eroion a well a roe bengal taining of the corneal flap after laer in itu keratomileui. Neither patient had le than 12 mm of wetting with the chirmer tet without anetheia at any time point between development and reolution of the flap urface abnormalitie. The flap urface abnormalitie reolved approximately 6 month after laer in itu keratomileui. CONCLUION: Laer in itu keratomileui-induced neurotrophic epitheliopathy may be attributable to lo of trophic influence from evered corneal nerve trunk. The condition typically reolve approximately 6 month after laer in itu keratomileui or laer in itu keratomileui retreatment.
