Abstract :
PURPOE: To report peritubular filtration a the caue of evere hypotony after Ahmed valve implantation.
METHOD: Interventional cae report. In a 65-year-old man with primary open-angle glaucoma, ultraound biomicrocopy wa ued to image the peritubular region of hi right eye that had evere hypotony during the early potoperative period after an Ahmed valve implantation.
REULT: The ultraound biomicrocopy examination howed peritubular filtration. Additional urgery coniting of tube extraction, cloure of the previou inertion opening, reformation of the anterior chamber with vicoelatic, and reintroduction of the tube through a new paracentei wa performed to olve thi complication. Twenty-four hour potoperatively, the intraocular preure increaed to 10 mm Hg. During the 6-month follow-up, the mean intraocular preure wa 16.36 mm Hg (tandard deviation, 1.45).
CONCLUION: The poibility of peritubular filtration hould be conidered in eye with evere hypotony after retrictive valve implantation.
