Abstract :
PURPOE: To report a cae of infuion midirection yndrome, imulating an intraoperative uprachoroidal hemorrhage, in an eye undergoing trabeculectomy for primary trabeculodygenei. METHOD: A 21-year-old woman underwent trabeculectomy for primary trabeculodygenei. Congenitally abnormal intraocular anatomy led to intraoperative and potoperative complication. REULT: Intraoperative anterior chamber irrigation wa followed by vitreou prolape. Eye pain, globe hardening, and hallowing of the anterior chamber were caued by infuion midirection into the poterior egment. The eye wa rapidly cloed after a limited wound-ite vitrectomy. Intraoperative and potoperative management led to a ucceful outcome. CONCLUION: Altered intraocular anatomy et the tage for infuion midirection yndrome, a rare but manageable complication that mimicked an expulive uprachoroidal hemorrhage.
