Abstract :
PURPOE: To document, in vivo, the foveal morphology and thickne in a patient with oculocutaneou albinim. METHOD: Obervational cae report. In a 10-year-old female with oculocutaneou albinim, multiple cro-ectional can of the fovea were performed uing optical coherence tomography. REULT: Optical coherence tomography can were unable to detect the foveal pit. A widepread thickening of the retina occurred throughout the entire fovea with no difference from the urrounding macula. The foveal thickne wa greater than 300 μm in the eye of thi patient with oculocutaneou albinim, compared with 150 μm in the normal eye. The inner retina had a highly reflective ignal on optical coherence tomography. CONCLUION: Optical coherence tomography demontrated in the anatomical location of the fovea a highly reflective inner retinal ignal, poibly conitent with multiple layer of ganglion cell, and it confirmed foveal hypoplaia in a patient with oculocutaneou albinim
