Optical coherence tomography of choroidal oteoma

PURPOE: To examine the cro-ectional tructure of a choroidal oteoma uing optical coherence tomography. METHOD: Obervational cae report. A choroidal oteoma in the right eye of a 22-year-old woman wa tudied with fluorecein and indocyanine green fundu angiogram and optical coherence tomography. REULT: The optical coherence tomography howed that a creamy-white leion in the tumor had an increaed reflectivity with a cavernou tructure, wherea an orange leion howed le reflectivity beneath the apparently intact retinal pigment epithelium. The area of le-intene whitene in the creamy-white leion howed higher reflectivity at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium, which precluded our viewing the deeper tructure of the tumor. CONCLUION: Optical coherence tomography can demontrate the cavernou tructure of a choroidal oteoma at a elective tage of a tumor’ evolution, namely, when the retinal pigment epithelium i atrophied and the oification i premature
