Enhanced -cone yndrome with ubfoveal neovacularization

PURPOE: To report a cae of enhanced -cone yndrome aociated with ubfoveal neovacularization. DEIGN: Obervational cae report. METHOD: A 23-year-old man, who wa firt examined at age 9 year, wa found to have enhanced -cone yndrome by clinical, electrophyiological, and molecular genetic examination. REULT: At 9 year of age, a ubfoveal neovacularization wa preent in hi right eye and corrected viual acuity wa RE: 0.15 and LE: 1.0. After he wa 20 year old, cytoid change in the macula of the left eye appeared and viual acuity, in the left eye, decreaed from 1.0 to 0.02. CONCLUION: The clinical coure of enhanced -cone yndrome i progreive, and we ugget that the ubretinal neovacularization i a phenotypic variation of enhanced -cone yndrome.
