Abstract :
PURPOE: To report a cae of ubperioteal orbital and ubgaleal hemorrhage with optic nerve compromie in a patient with a factor IX deficiency.
DEIGN: Interventional cae report.
METHOD: A 5-year-old male preented 10 day after mild trauma with progreive left-ided calp welling, proptoi, and viual lo.
REULT: The patient had marked proptoi of the left eye, 20/200 viual acuity, and an afferent pupillary defect. Magnetic reonance imaging demontrated a large ubgaleal and left ubperioteal orbital hematoma. Quantitative aay of coagulation protein identified a factor IX deficiency (Chritma dieae).
CONCLUION: Delayed-onet ubgaleal and ubperioteal orbital hematoma can rarely be an initial manifetation of Chritma dieae.
