Abstract :
PURPOE: To report a patient with a melanotic leion of the conjunctiva that mimicked melanoma but proved to be a fungal infection on biopy.
DEIGN: Interventional cae report.
METHOD: A 75-year-old white man wa examined for a 3-month hitory of a deeply pigmented leion of the conjunctiva at the limbu of the right eye that cloely reembled conjunctival melanoma. The leion wa completely excied.
REULT: Hitologic examination revealed fungal element without evidence of tumor.
CONCLUION: Although rare, fungi hould be included in the differential diagnoi of pigmented leion of the conjunctiva
