Trypan blue capular taining to “find” the leading edge of a “lot” capulorhexi

PURPOE: To decribe an effective urgical technique to viualize an obcured leading edge of a capulorhexi. DEIGN: Propective, interventional cae erie. METHOD: In ix eye of ix patient in which the capulorhexi wa tarted but could no longer be een during urgery, the anterior chamber wa irrigated to remove all vicoelatic, and 0.3-ml trypan blue 0.06% wa applied onto the anterior len capule to tain and viualize the leading edge of the capulorhexi. REULT: In all patient, the leading edge of the capulorhexi wa quickly viualized by uing the dye. No advere reaction were oberved up to 1 year after urgery. CONCLUION: Trypan blue taining of the anterior len capule i an effective and apparently afe technique to “find” a “lot” capulorhexi during urgery
