PURPOE: Report of a neuroendocrine carcinoma of the caruncle a the firt ign of a metatatic lung carcinoma. DEIGN: Interventional cae report. METHOD: Exciion of a rapidly growing caruncular tumor in a 76-year-old woman with a hitory of breat cancer. REULT: Pathology revealed a large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, conitent with metatatic lung carcinoma. Computerized tomography of chet, abdomen, and a bone can dicloed ign of malignancy in the lung, liver, and bone, originally conidered a metatatic breat cancer. However, thi diagnoi wa excluded on the bai of hitopathological finding and clonality analyi. A primary neuroendocrine (Merkel cell) carcinoma wa ruled out on morphologic and immunohitochemical ground. CONCLUION: We preent a unique cae of a metatatic large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the caruncle.
