Rectu eye mucle path after urgical correction of convergent trabimu fixu

PURPOE: To preent a new urgical procedure for convergent trabimu fixu. DEIGN: Interventional cae report METHOD: A 69-year-old woman wa referred to u becaue of eotropia of both eye. Both eye were fixed in a poition of extreme adduction, and ocular motility wa everely retricted in all direction. Magnetic reonance imaging demontrated that the uperior rectu (R) wa deviated naally and the lateral rectu (LR) wa deviated inferiorly. We performed operation for both eye coniting of hemitranpoition of the R and LR combined with a large receion of the medial rectu. REULT: Potoperatively, the patient became able to fixate in primary gaze and ocular motility markedly improved in all direction. Magnetic reonance imaging confirmed that the path of the R and LR were corrected. CONCLUION: Thi urgical procedure appear to be a ueful option for treating convergent trabimu fixu.
