Abstract
To report the reaction after intradermal injection of bradykinin in nonglaucoma, primary open-angle glaucoma, and normal-tenion glaucoma ubject.
Deign
Propective comparative tudy.
Method
The tudy participant were 14 healthy control ubject, 16 patient with primary open-angle glaucoma, and 15 patient with normal-tenion glaucoma. In each participant, the wheal repone to intradermal injection of 10 μg bradykinin in the volar forearm wa meaured by a maked oberver.
Reult
There wa no ignificant difference in the wheal repone to bradykinin between control ubject and primary open-angle glaucoma patient (P = .73) and between primary open-angle glaucoma patient and normal-tenion glaucoma patient (P = .09). However, there wa a ignificant difference in the wheal repone to bradykinin between control ubject and normal-tenion glaucoma patient (P = .04).
Concluion
Thee in vivo tructure-activity tudie may ugget abnormalitie of the tiue kallikrein-kinin ytem in normal-tenion glaucoma.
