Purpoe To report a cae of choroidal oteoma preenting with maive ubretinal hemorrhage not aociated with choroidal neovaculariation (CNV). Deign Cae report. Method An 18-year-old man preented with udden lo of viion in the right eye following competitive wimming. He wa found to have a maive ubretinal hemorrhage involving the macula. Reult Following reolution of the hemorrhage, the patient wa found to have an underlying choroidal oteoma. There wa no evidence of choroidal neovaculariation clinically and angiographically. He regained hi normal viion. Concluion Choroidal oteoma preenting with maive ubretinal hemorrhage not aociated with underlying choroidal neovacularization need not reult in poor viual outcome.
