Abstract
Purpoe
To report longitudinal retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickne meaurement uing optical coherence tomography (OCT) in a patient with traumatic optic neuropathy.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
A 14-year-old boy with evere optic nerve trauma had repeated OCT can of the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer at 3 day, 20 day, 40 day, and 70 day after injury.
Reult
There wa gradual lo of nerve fiber a hown by the OCT color-coded map, RNFL thickne profile, and RNFL thickne meaurement around the optic dik. At 70 day of follow-up, evere thinning of the RNFL wa obervable.
Concluion
Thee finding ugget that OCT i able to ae and monitor axonal lo after traumatic optic neuropathy.
