Ultraound finding in orbital hydatid cyt

Purpoe To decribe the ultraound feature een in orbital hydatid dieae, which may confirm the diagnoi preoperatively. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method Nine patient of orbital hydatid cyt were evaluated preoperatively with ultraound and computed tomography can. The diagnotic feature een on ultraound a well a the CT feature are decribed. All patient underwent urgery to remove the cyt, and the diagnoi wa confirmed urgically in all nine cae. Reult We found that ultraound wa mot helpful in diagnoing a hydatid cyt, even more o than a computed tomography can, and we aw a diagnotic “double wall” ign in all cae, on ultraound, a ign not previouly decribed in orbital hydatid. Concluion It i difficult to diagnoe an orbital hydatid cyt preoperatively. However, we found that the double wall ign could be elicited ultraonically in all cae of hydatid cyt, if looked for carefully, and the diagnoi could be confirmed
