Purpoe To report a cae of corticoteroid-induced modulation of acute yphilitic poterior placoid chorioretiniti. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 38-year-old homoexual male who preented with a unilateral uveiti econdary to yphili developed large placoid macular leion after treatment with oral prednione that reolved when the corticoteroid were dicontinued. Reult A caue-and-effect relationhip wa demontrated between oral prednione and the appearance of acute yphilitic poterior placoid chorioretiniti. Concluion The clinical appearance of poterior placoid chorioretiniti in yphili may be modulated by the immune tatu of the patient.
