Facial necrotizing faciiti following acute dacryocytiti

Purpoe To report a cae of progreive necrotizing faciiti of the face following acute dacryocytiti. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 60-year-old woman preented with left acute dacryocytiti with abce formation that had ruptured; a mall wound remained. Erythematou welling of the left eyelid and face developed 3 day later. Clinical progreion and computed tomographic finding led to the diagnoi of necrotizing faciiti with abce formation. Early intravenou antibiotic and repeated urgical debridement were performed. Reult oft tiue necroi wa found the facial plane extending deep to the maxilla bone and periorbital fat. The patient wa uccefully treated without ocular, orbital, or facial complication. Conluion Necrotizing faciiti of the eyelid and face progree rapidly. Early diagnoi, prompt intravenou antibiotic adminitration, and aggreive urgical debridement will prevent the aociated morbidity and mortality.
