Purpoe To demontrate how an inferior iridectomy prevent a pupillary block in aphakic patient with a ilicone oil tamponade. Deign Obervational cae erie. Method Photograph of two patient who had undergone vitrectomy, lenectomy, membrane peeling, ilicone oil tamponade, and inferior iridectomy for a complex retinal detachment were evaluated. Reult In the thin layer of erythrocyte covering the endothelium, we oberved an arc clear of erythrocyte anterior to the inferior iridectomy. Concluion With ilicone oil blocking the pupil, aqueou humor wa channeled through the inferior iridectomy with ufficient force to weep the endothelium anterior to the iridectomy clean of erythrocyte, thu viualizing the mechanim that prevent a pupillary block glaucoma.
