Reult
Cell–cell interaction make critical contribution to development, homeotai, and wound healing in the cornea. Many of thee interaction are mediated by cytokine, growth factor, and chemokine. The bet characterized are tromal–epithelial interaction between epithelial cell and tromal cell uch a keratocyte, keratoblat, and myofibroblat. However, interaction alo occur between corneal nerve and epithelial cell and between corneal cell (epithelial cell and tromal cell) and corneal immune cell. Although invetigation are limited, it i likely that there are interaction between corneal endothelial cell and keratocyte in the poterior troma.
Concluion
Cellular communication in the cornea are critical during development, homeotai, and wound healing. Diorder of cellular communication likely contribute to many corneal dieae.
